Thanks Charles!
TimMemberBrilliant!
TimMemberMe and barry saw a water vole on that river once.
TimMemberI will be going in that direction again Dave. Not sure which rivers though. Too many to tick off! As a side issue, Im going to be working on my own whitewater roll during this close season up on the dee and would hope lots from the club will join me. I haven’t had to roll at all this season and need to make sure its still there! Myself and the club can then approach next season with confidence. Its becoming too stressful for me looking after people when I’m at the stage now that I need looking after!
TimMemberI think the bitches count because its in the RIVERS guidebook!
TimMemberWell spotted lads. Number 50 was the Dulas then.
TimMemberWe now have Mark and our former members Colin and Jonathon joining us!
Any more? Still time!TimMemberCheers for the report Dave. It did get to the stage where I started to sing the end of a led zep song. Fast forward to 3 minutes!

I think 3 of us christened it! Great day with more than a few laughs. Thanks to John and Dave for their advice on access/egress. Great roll by Rich in white water. Scared to death roll by me in shallow water. I also need some boof training! Thanks to Mick for driving and Paul for being a great part of the team. Working well at signals today and looking after each other whilst playing in features.TimMemberJust a reminder that we are nearing show week!
TimMemberThe agenda tonight
1. WWSR courses
2. Scotland trip
3. Increased pool price for non members
4. Safety points on the Llyfni trip.
5. Protection policies.
6. Facebook. Making our group private and removing non members.
7. Club Constitution.TimMemberI havent got the time Rob! Before gopro and rainchasers I spent far too much fuel money driving around wales finding out a river was too high or too low. Im glad to be in this internet age. If I lived in Snowdon or on the banks of the dart I would agree with you.
TimMemberThe alwen was a great river and we made the right decision starting lower down. A lot of people get on higher and have far too many trees to negotiate and are fed up by the time they get to the clearer best bits.
We had the llyfni on a great level and it appears there used to be far more tree problems in the past immediately after the tunnel than we had. We had a great time and thats what counts.
TimMemberI agree Nige. We don’t want anyone going out of sight and for 90% of the time it was spot on. Line of sight can be lost during a boat chase for example. I would like to see us repeat signals back to each other a bit more and spread out heading towards hazards. 9 is a lot to have on that river and the front to the back can easily become half a mile. It would have been difficult to split the group into a 5 and 4 yesterday but could have been an option. We are thinking about it more and that is really positive. We had a successful trip down a long, tricky stretch of water and had a couple of mishaps 400 yards from the finish. Well done to everyone. I really felt part of a team, who were focused, looking out for each other and provided support. We all feel happy here because we don’t take the piss out of swims, we don’t belittle people with derogatory nicknames, we don’t force people to run stuff. Lets keep it that way!
I wish that river was closer because Barry would tidy it up!

TimMemberJohn my friend thanks for the kind offer but those shoes are as cheap as chips from decathlon and were on their last legs any way. Buy me a pint in the pub instead. The boat rescue was a bit unorthodox but was at least the third time I’ve done it when £800 quid is sailing to the sea. I can imagine Chucky in the future reminiscing……I once saw this bloke……….
