Great night out folks! Rich nailed his solo performance and it was extremely obvious to everyone who my daughter Amelia was! Brilliant show. The best weve seen Richard in so far. I thought we had good seats until I saw Rob looking down from the royal box!

Please speak about it and focus on my determination and battling spirit when in trouble. It has served me well. But please put the chimp back into its box. A great phrase from my latest bedtime reading by Dr Steve Peters and psychologist to many sports stars including canoeists. I would recommend this book to everyone in the club. Training your mind is as important as improving your paddling skills.

That weather was incredible. To be on the river must have been an amazing experience.

Everyone came home safely and that’s the most important thing. I cant recall seeing a feature like that on a river I’ve paddled before. The confusing reports on the internet guide didn’t help. I had a chat with Rob yesterday and he believes the levels were perfect for causing problems there. Lower and you would have noticed it and higher you would have plopped over it. I left a message on Geoffs
phone asking him to give Kee a big pat on the back. I would urge everyone in the club to keep paddling in teams like you are and keep looking around that next corner. Man made hazards can be worse than trees. Look at the fish counter on the Cerriog with chains across the river. In fact that has just reminded me. There is a man made raised ford on the Cerriog below the A5 bridge that needed to be portaged. Look out for it if you ever run that section.

That’s weird, I saw the word job in there first time round. It wasn’t until you pointed it out that I noticed it wasn’t there. Evidence that we predict things when reading.

I think rich d and barry are going too. I will ask rich to book a table for about 8 paddlers.
