Yes, no problem transporting them to Johns. Haven’t got room in my shed because John’s boat is in there ! lol
Richard DParticipantOnly Dave B, John and me are definite for tomorrow so we’ve opted for Symonds Yat as we don’t have to run a shuttle. If anyone else wishes to join us we’ll be there for 10.15 to 10.30. or if anyone else is up for it we can meet up first.
Richard DParticipantWhich drop Tim ? First of the three nasties ? Great picture.

Richard DParticipantHi Rob. I’m happy to take the other place for those who’ve already done the course. I don’t think John has done the 2 day course so he may be up for it too. We can check on Thursday.
Richard DParticipantEnjoyed the course very much and so useful for a group of us who paddle together regularly. The WW Safety & Rescue course is well worth doing and great fun. I’d be more than willing to do it again to help bring the cost down.
Richard DParticipantThanks for the report Ricki, it certainly showed great detail and although we did more miles than needed it was a pleasant drive. More of us now know the access and egress points on the Dulas and it certainly looks a beautiful river that we will no doubt return to soon. We also learned that the Machynlleth gauge on the Dyfi needs to be above 1.55 and the Dulas (Severn-Llanidloes) gauge at Rhos-y-pentref would need to be above 0.9. So some useful information was gleaned from Saturday’s expedition and the day ended with another very enjoyable paddle on the Vyrnwy.
Richard DParticipantLooks great fun and another paddle to add to the list. A busy weekend for the Wombles. Well done Loz for adding two new paddles to his list.
November 3, 2014 at 6:08 pm in reply to: Saturday paddle 01st November (Rich D’s Birthday) Afon Vyrnwy #3318Richard DParticipantGreat report Nigel and as you said it was great that 3 hours 40 minutes of paddling was incident free. Thoroughly enjoyed the day and company on my birthday. Thanks to everyone.
Richard DParticipantThanks for the report Tim. A very worthwhile meeting, showing the club’s progress in many directions. Looking forward to trying the new boat.
Richard DParticipantAnother greatly entertaining and enjoyable day with friends from Wombourne Kayak club. These days the drive and shuttle are getting as tiring as the paddling. Passengers having to take naps in shifts in order to keep the driver awake !
Great record of the day, cheers Nigel.Richard DParticipantI’ll be there Tim. See you at 8pm.
1. Increase to pool fees for non-members ? Previously discussed.
2. Lakes weekend.
3. Scotland trip.
4. Whitewater safety training above the “chipper”.
5. Any additional club equipment or boats required.Richard DParticipantSummed it up nicely Tim. Brilliant day and lots of happy faces at the end. Great fun at Forestry falls much better level and far more interesting. Found waves, eddies and stoppers we didn’t know existed !!
Richard DParticipantGreat to see you’re out again Nigel and writing a report for those of us who couldn’t make it due to the onset of old age ! I must admit the way I felt last week I thought my paddling days were over. A couple of visits to the osteopath seem to have sorted it so I’m hoping you’ll be paddling again the Saturday.
Richard DParticipantSounds like a very worthwhile course. I’d be interested too Tim.
Richard DParticipantNice report Nigel. Wish I could have made it.
