Hi Gary if there’s nothing running I’d be happy to go. I think Steve and Geoff still want to do the assessment if they are out this weekend.

I’m sure we can sort something out at the pool session on Thursday if the rain doesn’t bring any rivers up.

With the Bridgnorth gauge on 0.59, Barry, John, Geoff, Gary, Simon and I decided the level would be good for a couple of hours practising our skills surfing, ferrying, eddy hopping and rolling. Rob joined us for a while on his bike and with some course information for the WWSR over the next couple of weekends with 14 members signed up to improve our swimming skills !
Needless to say, we retired to the Black Swan for a well deserved drink afterwards.

Great report Tim and for me far more fun than the upper T. This river provides a real natural river feel with 4 distinct grade 3 technical rapids and loads of challenging features. A short run that could be run 3 or 4 times in a day if you wanted to perfect lines and improve skills with each run.
Personally I thought it was at a good level but with no gauge on the river, for future reference, the Banwy gauge at Llanerfyll was on 1.9 in the morning and 1.83 when we got started.

A really pleasant paddle with some good enjoyable features and a very scenic route through the lanes of the Peak district !!

Hi Nigel. Me, Barry and Dave Bennet are meeting at John Teuwen’s for 8am so should be at Brownhills Canoe centre for 9am to give us an earlier start if that’s ok with you. I’ll send you a text to confirm details.

Hi Nigel. Yes, should be up at the top car park to start at horseshoe weir by 10.30. Kev is coming and running this section for the first time !

Tempting Andy as it would go at the moment but will probably be too low by the morning. Not worth setting off if it’s below 0.85 but we can have a look in the morning.

Don’t want to appear too much of a Geek Tim but you’ve missed one out and you had a look at it the other day !!
Twrch ( Banwy ). Hope to try it with you soon and some of the others.

For those out tomorrow, me John Ricki Geoff, Kee, Dave B, Loz, meet at the Stewpony for 8.15. The choice is either the Tryweryn or the Dee. We should be at Dobbies for 9am and can make a decision from there.
