A great day out yesterday in my preferred roll as camera man, and with the promise of a great photo opp started with breakfast at Dobbies before heading out Barmouth way to the Gamlan falls.

After a quick change in the lay by another hard walk in along the banks of the Gamlan leads to the stunning sight of the falls where a quick decision was made that it was good to go.
Tim ran the falls first then quickly returned to advise Kee on the best lines to take breaking in, running the falls and the tricky section below to the get out.

Then after inspecting the rest of the river they decided to run the lower section of drops under the road bridge. (loads of footage on youtube/facebook)

After a breather and a chance to reflect Tim and Kee dragged their boats the short distance to the Mawddach and the aptly named “shit house falls”.
From here they ran the short trip (20 mins) down to the picnic area at the next road bridge.

Described by the lads as a great little paddle with some good sections of water we were left wondering where the next get out was, and what was in between.

A pint at The Cross Foxes Inn and a coffee at a greasy spoon on the way back made for a great day out.
