Its funny when I watch the footage back. Paddle! Ah Sharap! Come on! Stop Swearing!
Paddling today we had Steve Mason, Kee, Rich, John and Dave P. The river was too low when we first arrived and we watched it gradually edge its way up into the green tick whilst we got changed into our paddling kit and sorted out the shuttle. We watched impatient paddle groups come and go despite being told the river would be rising in a short while. We got on the river on a level 3 and got off with it on a level 9. I enjoyed the work we did on river signals and the way we successfully worked our way down the river. We allowed Steve a look at Bry Bras before getting on the river and we used Kee as middle marker encouraging us to make the sharp right turn. Dave made it through with a little trip up at the end. Well done to Dave and Steve in particular. Steve has made a few adjustments to his boat and is looking far more comfortable. I hardly gave Rich, John and Kee a second glance today. The river was rising quickly today and it really added a bit of spice towards the end! Great fun!
Great report Tim of a really well planned and executed paddle. Everything went well apart from Kee forgetting his Cag and Dave’s little trip at the bottom of Bryn Bras after getting through the difficult bit ! By the time we looked at the upper section I guess the river must have been up to a 12 or more and in flood and looked too high to run safely. We’ll have to get back there and catch it when it’s falling !
Great footage and nice report,
A big well done to Steve and Dave in particular, John just keeps thrashing it out as always and Rich, Kee and Tim, great leadership and organisation. I have watched all three lots of footage and great to get different perspectives of a trip.
