We had to change the plan of paddling the Gam as Barry had to help his son so we were without his saw !! Nevertheless we chose the Vyrnwy as it is only a few miles away. So there were six of us on a beautiful Saturday morning and the Vyrnwy on 1.39 when we left home, everything felt good. Duncan, Scott and Nigel only started paddling this year (sorry last year, forgot it’s 2013 ) but they all fancied the challenge and Nigel was in his new Karnali for the first time and this was a new river for Dave Yates.
Can only say every one was superb and ran all the drops and rapids without incident and we all finished with big smiles and another lovely cuppa from Nigel.
Cheers Nigel, glad you bought another boat so soon !!
P.S Scott, keep away from Keelan next time.

Thanks Rich for a well organised trip, with the support an experience of yourself and Dave the trip was most enjoyable and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves, Duncan, relatively New to the sport and club handled the river very well and managed a couple of well executed rolls. Scot, enjoys the challenges and gives it everything, Keelan the play boat ace just bounces along, he was described as looking like a Penguin when he paddles along a decent wave train as all we can see is his head and a padddle blade each side of the water. Well done all still my favourite river so far, let’s see what 2013 brings.

    Cheers 🙂
