    Evenin all,

Sorry for delay had a busy day.

Saturday 16th November, saw a group of us head off to Ludlow to tackle the River Teme, weirs through this beautiful historic market town.

    Tim,Rich D , Barry, Geoff, Kee,Dave Y, John ,Colin ( Goose ), Shane and myself.

We met on the car park below the Castle, at around 10-45 AM, after our usual warm up dance we put in off the small pontoon and had a couple of warm up drills to follow, with Tim and Rich D, giving valuable guidance.

The weather was very mild and stayed dry which made for a pleasant day considering it’s second half of November. The level was a little higher than the last couple of times I had paddled it. There has been some work done on a couple of the Weirs which has spoilt the first Weir we tackled, as the bottom wave is full of rocks and concrete which makes it virtually impossible to play on or practice.

We had some newbies to this river in Geoff, Dave Y, Shane and our welcome visitor Colin ( Goose ), this short trip is well worth a trip for anyone in the club who fancies a paddle on a beautiful little stretch of water with some lovely little features, ideal for practising ferry gliding and eddy hoping.

We stopped off at a pub on one of the hills leaving Ludlow, The Three Horse Shoes, I think, please correct me if I am wrong Gent’s, for a swift cheeky pint and to watch a little video footage from a previous trip.

All in all a pleasant day and the usual great company with lots of  banter, as you may have seen from the Facebook photo’s..! The trips are not for the shy or feint hearted, if you don’t like having your photo taken in a compromising situation and posted in public..! lol  😉

Thanks to all, see you on the River.

Another great report and video footage for the archives. Love the choice of music Geoff, always right for the occasion.

Excellent intro, cracking little paddle and nice bit of dicking around, although the report and footage has forgot to mention the well rehearsed rescue drills, nice bit of team work!

    We always appreciate volunteer swimmers;)

    Happy Days!!!
