    Hi all,

My motivation for starting Kayaking was a combination of wanting to get fit and my son had already started and i wanted to be able to go out with him and look out for him whilst out and about Kayaking. I was introduced to the club by Neil.

My first night was nerve racking as i felt my very limited kayak experience put me in a very basic place to start to learn the skills to become proficient in Kayaking. My nerves were soon put to rest once i met some of the amazing, friendly members who were more than willing to take time to help me and put my nerves at rest.

Since then i have progressed from learning essential basic knowledge, to going out on the wild river and conquering features, rapids and flowing water that i would never have imagined that i would be able to do! After spending time in the real world with these guys i feel lucky that i have such friendly, knowledgable mentors and frankly would not feel safe out on wild water with any other mixture of guys.

I can’t wait to progress my skills further and take part in more adventures as my journey continues!

    Thanks All !

Thanks for posting up mate. We really appreciate the positive comments. Yourself, Neil and Jack are working hard. The coaches and fellow members deserve a pat on the back. ( That’s why a bought a round last week!)

Glad your enjoying your time at the club Dan.

I joined for similar reasons and also found the club friendly and welcoming I’ve never felt pressured to do anything I wasn’t comfortable with or goaded for failing.
