    Hi All,
A group of us paddled the Dee today on a HUGE level of 2.5 on the Gauge at Mile End, the lowest I have ever seen it.
However it completely changes all the features and we had a good day, Rich D, showed a few of the group the correct way to tow a boat using a short tow line and also how to empty a boat mid river, enabling us to turn the boat back on its hull to make towing it much easier.
Todays group were, Rich D, Paul W, Geoff, John, Rich P ,Keelan , Dunc and yours truly.
The weather was just superb, total sunshine through out, and above Rich D’s 7* degree minimum, so he even even pulled off a couple of well executed rolls on the bottom wave of the” Mill”, while showing off his play boating skills in a 300 Litre Plus Wave sport D, well done Rich D.
The day ended with a nice Hot drink and a chat in the car park which enabled us all to top up our sun tans, before departing on our way back along the Watling Street, A5, the views were just stunning as today was like Spring.
I have some snapshots and a little movie footage, which I will endeavour to add over the weekend.

    Cheers all. 🙂

Just hope everyone had a good day on the Dee in the sunshine and it’s a great venue for a bit of practice and surfing even at such a low level. Not sure about your comment about my play boating skills Nigel ! The rolls (and brain freezes ) definitely outnumbered the spins.
Nice bit of editing by Geoff again with Rich P in control and surfing and spinning smoothly whilst leaving out my many failed attempts and Keelan just enjoying himself and improving every week.
Nice paddling from Duncan too finishing off nicely on seal launch rock.
