Recently a few of us discussed the idea of an overnight paddle and came up with a plan of paddling from Ironbridge to Bewdley with a stop over at Hampton Loade.
A date was also arranged for 13/14 Sept.
The popular idea was to pitch tents at the campsite and then run the shuttle to Jackfields.
After an hour or so playing, bimble down to the campsite stopping at a pub (or several) for a spot of lunch then on to Hampton Loade.
After an evening of fine dining and a swift 1/2 in the Umicorn Inn a fully refreshed and recharged group would then break camp and carry on down to Bewdley.
I have spoken to the pub and as long as no one requires electricity then no group booking is required.
The prices are £12 for a 2-4 berth tent £14 for 6-8 berth + £1 pre person per night.
The date of the 13th is pretty much cast iron with the people interested so far and also dependant on weather, but people unwilling or unable to camp could still join us for either leg of the journey.
I’d be up for it but can’t confirm yet.
