I’ve got to say its the best man made course I’ve paddled worth a visit, if you don’t feel up to the olympic course there is the legacy course. The assessment for the legacy dosn’t require a moving water roll now and they will still let you on if you fail a flat water roll. If you fancy a go at the olympic course you will need to be able to paddle comfortably at HPP, the speed of the water makes the upp Tryweryn feel slow.
Well done Mark, starting your training for the next Olympics in a slalom boat ?
Any chance if we had a whip round we could raise enough money to build a course a bit closer, say Bridgnorth on Severn !!
Tim has let the cat out of the bag
.. a secret slalom boater…
nudge nudge wink wink… say no more… node is as good as a wink a…a
any chance of bring it along with you one of the days.
i think the biggest thing with the not being able to roll there you need to be able to self rescue and hold on to your paddle. they guy who lead my assessment said that the pumps are very good at shredding carbon fibre paddles
