Now, we all turn up on a Thursday evening and smile at each other as we paddle round the pool like goldfish and then we head towards the mount where the real competition begins and paddling friends suddenly become pin ball and darts arch rivals. We discover that Geoff has won pinball trophies, we discover that Karen could easily kill someone with a dart, we discover that David has excellent paddle control, we discover that Kee probably wont get up for work, we discover that Rupert has a fruit machine addiction, we discover Mick doesn’t retrieve his own darts and we discover that Tim is a pub Olympian.
It was suggested in the pub that we should have a darts trophy/cup and a pinball trophy/cup. Each week the first person to score a bullseye wins the trophy for a week and each week the highest one ball highest pinball score wins the pinball trophy. Now, the problem is this…….I think David is really competitive and the moment he wins the awards we probably wont see him again! We will risk it and see what happens.
I have heard on the grape vine that the landlady is moving on. Could this mean the end of darts and pinball? I hope not.
