Who’s out for the last paddle before Christmas ? Several rivers look possible and a bit more rain is forecast. Post a message if you plan to paddle and we may have to leave it ’till Saturday morning to decide where, it may be the Gam if it’s running. Never mind the trees, beware the return of Ricki “rotor cuff” Goode !!

A good band of rain is sweeping across the country this evening which should bring both the Ceiriog or Gam up to a decent level, so it looks like it will be either of those but more likely the Gam as Barry and Nigel ran it on Thursday and only one tree was down. The Ceiriog may need a recce before we try that again as on our last visit there were multiple trees down and we decided it would be wise to go elsewhere.
If the Banwy gauge is on 1.6 or above in the morning the Gam should be a good paddle. Their is also the option of the Vyrnwy which is also close to the Gam so wouldn’t be too far to detour (currently on 1.25) but should rise with the forecast rain. So final decision in the morning but meet at the Stewpony at 8.30 or Dobbies for 9.15ish.

    Be fully aware….Rotty has returned!

Spaces in my car….just me and Yatesy Boy so far. Our kayaks are books for a ride in The D-meisters van, so please ask nicely due to roof bars….or lack of installed. Failing that, it’ll be a shuffle at The Pony.

    Evening Gent’s,
just a quick heads up, the forecast tomorrow for Mid Wales states most certainly rain, but more importantly 30 MPH winds are forecast, lets make sure we are well prepared.
Bring on the “Afon Gam”. 😉

I’ve got the mince pies and brandy. 30mph winds are quite common over Christmas (sprouts).
