ParticipantHaving viewed some of the footage and read the blogs, well done on the team work Wombles. It enforces the need for attending safety training etc, Mr Y , executed some recently learned skills along with others in the team. I am glad all ended well and safe.
I am out Saturday Rich.

ParticipantHi,
I have mentioned the safety aspect before and fully endorse this, my personal opinion is we all need to be honest with ourselves and do a rigorous self assessment then discuss with the club any areas we feel specific training, guidance or help is required. We can then arrange some of our own group sessions.
Jackfields is a really local spot for practice in some areas especially when the
weather warms up for the more basic stuff, the Dee at Mile End and of course the Tryweryn for some more technically challenging sessions.Another coastal camping weekend would be nice if any fancy it ?
Club fees, increase to non members I agree with, mainly on the basis of insurance cover, this will help ensure the Club is safe and covered. Documenting the visits is a great way of ensuring we are on top of the situation.
Mr Chairman, may I say on a personal note how sad I am to hear about your intention to step down as Chairman of WKC. However I respect your decision. 🙁

ParticipantHi Mick.
Many thanks for your help and support with the Club in 2014. I hope we see you on the water a little more in 2015. Best wishes for Christmas and Happy New Year.
Cheers

ParticipantHi Rich,
Thanks for keeping us informed. I have things to do tomorrow, and as no water I will give it a miss. Have a good day.
Cheers 😉Nigel
ParticipantHo Ho Ho,
Me again, after Christmas sounds ok with me, keep the ideas coming !
Bearing in mind the week after is New year it may be more realistic to look at mid January ?😉

ParticipantJust what the Doctor ordered.

ParticipantYour right Tim, “you can please some of the people some of the time but not all of the people all of the time” !
Very valid point Mick, regarding insurance, I believe the Club BCU cover is only valid to fully paid up members. Happy days 😉Nigel
ParticipantHad a glance at the brief Timbo, and it makes perfect sense. A little tweaking to suit the Clubs personal requirements and the “Job is a gud Un”‘. Every one is given an equal opportunity to engage they just need to plan ahead and commit. 😉
Nigel
ParticipantHow long have you been working for the Welsh Tourist Board, Rickster. That Journey deserves to be the 8th Wonder of the World!!
Always smiling Rickster, always smiling !!!!Nigel
ParticipantMany thanks for relaying the meeting discussion points, I feel sure we can all contribute to ensuring the Club achieves these objectives, along with us as members gaining knowledge and skills to help others and ensure safety and support are key.

ParticipantHi Committee,
1/ Safety rescue practice, capsize, boat re-entry from deep water etc.. This is something Rob and I discussed at length on our Coaching course, we don’t practice this and if we had a session maybe once a month or every 6 weeks it would benefit us all I am sure.
Cheers Guy’s

ParticipantGreat report as usual Rich,
It really is good to read about the adventurous nature of our club, taking the initiative and accommodating all abilities. I am sad to have missed this weekend but Fatherly duties took priority this week. Sounds and looks like you all had a great time. Cheers 😉Nigel
ParticipantHa Ha ,
Mr Y, be kind to the young fellow ! Fingers backwards.
Steve, if you contact Tim I believe he is in the process of ordering some more.Cheers

ParticipantSuper report Rich, a really great day by us more mature Wombles, we had the lower section all to ourselves which was odd. The upper was great fun and I now fully appreciate why stoppers are called stoppers !! lol. It was much nicer paddling through Feddigog rather than swimming like I did on my first attempt last year. Well done all . Foggy
Nigel
ParticipantNice one Guy’s, gutted I missed it. Great footage
